// THE STORY
TWENTY-FIVE YEARS OF UNDERGROUND SOUND
Timeframe Studios opened its doors in San Francisco's Lower Haight in 2001, at a moment when the city's underground electronic music scene was at its most vital. We were built by producers, for producers — a space where the music came first and the gear was chosen to serve it.
Over the past 25 years we've worked with the artists and labels who defined the sound of the underground — from early Metalheadz and Soma Records releases to the new wave of Bay Area techno producers pushing the genre forward today.
We've never chased the mainstream. Our rooms are tuned for sub-bass, our engineers understand the dance floor, and our approach hasn't changed: make the music sound exactly right, then get out of the way.
